Little Lucy ~ Children’s Photographer

Little Lucy celebrated her 1st birthday a couple of weeks ago. I wasn’t able to make it to her birthday party so her mommy, daddy and of course Lucy, met up with my daughter/assistant and me at Hawthorne Park. We met around 6:30 and the evening light was so very wonderful! This had to be the most perfect light. I had to do very little post processing on these images. I just truly love this age. They are so curious about the world around them and I love how Lucy’s mommy and daddy let us play in the water. Never fear though, mom and dad were right there next to her. =)

Blonde-Haired, Blue-eyed cuties

I had the opportunity to photography these cuties again on the 14th of this month. The day was beautiful then around the time of their session, the clouds rolled in. By the time the session was wrapping up, we were using the umbrella as an umbrella and not a prop.

These girls are the daughters of my little ones daycare provider so I see these little girls everyday. They are more like family. =)

My little one wanted in on the fun too.

Wedding~Mark & Madison

I posted the details of their wedding a little bit ago. Mark and Madison were married in the beautiful White Chapel on the campus of Rose Hulman. Their wedding was simply beautiful. I am going to have such a hard time choosing what pictures to highlight in here.

Mark & Madi, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day. I am thankful and blessed to know the both of you.

Eric & Kara~The details

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Eric and Kara’s Wedding. Their wedding was held in the beautiful First Congregational Church in Terre Haute. The afternoon started off really gloomy and rainy. By the time they said “I do” the sun came out and they were able to make their exit. I’m just going to share some of the detail shots right now.

Loved the cake! Kara’s mom made the entire thing and the groom’s cake. She did such a fantastic job. I couldn’t stop looking at it.

Testing new lens

Now I’m not buying this lens…just renting for the wedding on Saturday. It’s a church that doesn’t allow flash photography so I wanted to make sure that I had the best lens possible for that type of setting. I went to BorrowedLenses.com to rent the Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 lens. This lens is a monster lens. I had no idea that the lens was so massive. I’m not sure, and I have an email out but the lens won’t autofocus. Of course it’s supposed to. I just wonder if my Nikon D90 isn’t the right “make” (for lack of a better word) and therefore won’t support the autofocus feature. I hope the it does and the solution is simple because I’m not sure I can trust my eyes for tack sharp photos. You’ll also notice in the images I took that the sharpness in some areas are spotty.  I wonder if anyone knows if this is normal. I am waiting on an e-mail back from borrowed lenses.
