“B”~3 Month Session/Indiana Infant Photographer

I really had so many favorites that I just couldn’t choose just a few, so I chose to highlight all the photos in this video. I had brought one of my studio lights with me and I used it facing towards the wall. I did this to bounce the light back toward my subject. For the most part though, I used available light and adjusted my ISO.

I really hope you all enjoy these as much as I do.

Sneak Peek~3 month session~Baby “B”/Indiana Infant Photographer

Yesterday I met up with “B” and his mommy and daddy for his 3 month session. He has grown so much since his newborn session. He is such an alert baby and yesterday he showed me his serious side. I think he was giving me his model look. He looked so adorable in his outfit and hat. I love that his dad had antique looking props to use. It really added to the picture I think.

Studio session/Indiana Portrait Photographer

Monday, I went to Hobby Lobby to check out their fabric to use for my sessions. I seriously love this store. Their customer service is awesome and their prices aren’t bad either. Anyway, my friend and I had talked about getting some damask looking fabric to add to our backdrops. We looked at several sites and found some that were fairly inexpensive. One of our worries is that it would wrinkle and we definitely didn’t want it to wrinkle. I found exactly what I was looking for in Terre Haute. I bought 3 yds and it is 54 inches wide. I really love the look of it, don’t you?

I used my nearest models to test this out and I love the results. I can’t wait to use it for the session I have today.

 

Snow Fun/Indiana Portrait Photographer

I’ve enjoyed the relaxed time with my family since Christmas. I have to admit though, I’m ready for warmer weather.

During our last snow here in Indiana, I took my girls out for some snow fun pictures. I really enjoy taking portraits in the snow. The snow really reflects the light so nicely.

Winter Session/Indiana High School Photographer

“B” contacted me at the end of fall wanting to have some pictures in the snow. I couldn’t wait for enough snow to fall to schedule her session. On Saturday, we finally had enough snow to make some amazing photographs. We didn’t take as many as I usually do as it was really cold, like around 7 degrees.

I am so very pleased with how they came out.

This family holds a very special place in my heart. Why? Because this is my middle sister and her family. I just love being able to photograph my family. I took the older ones Senior pictures in July and took “b”s school pictures last year so we took this opportunity to take her 10 grade pictures too.

A look back/Indiana Photographer

It seems that a lot of photographers are doing a year in review. I like that and want to do it as well. This was my first full year and I have been so blessed to meet so many wonderful people! If I miss anyone in my review, please forgive me. I’m going to try to include Jan-Dec…but I will probably get it out-of-order. lol 

 

 

Jen & Julie/Indiana Portrait Photographer

Let me set up this little session we did. Jen came in October and these were done on the day she was scheduled to fly back to New Jersey. I love this little area in my hometown because of the way it looks, so we knew this was where we wanted to go. We took my tripod and remote for my camera there and set about trying to do our self portraits. When we got done, she checked her flight and realized it had been bumped up….it was a very busy hour of trying to get her to the airport…but we got her there.

I’m so glad that she was able to come for another visit and to help me shoot a senior session and a wedding while she was here. I hope to visit her in New Jersey one day soon.

The “T” Family/Indiana Family Photographer

This family is super nice and their little boy is just a doll. 

I was asked to wait until after Christmas to post any photos. I was so glad to be able to photograph them and I look forward to photographing them in the future. Thank you Garry and Ashley for asking to photograph your family. Little “D” is just so cute!
