I am so glad to have been able to take little “T”s Newborn photos. I’ve looked at other photographers work with newborns and was really anxious to try some ideas out. I also love being around the other kids as well. I’m so glad that the youngest daughter is warming up to me. When I got there this day, she came up and gave me a hug! I love that. Make sure to view the link below to watch a video of all the pictures.

Okay, sometimes you just can’t get it to come together. This was an attempt at a new picture with all 7 children together. HA! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t…..that day, it didn’t. This picture makes me smile!

I love my nifty fifty (50mm 1.4) lens. I love how sharp the photos comes out. I have to admit though, that sometimes I just can’t get back far enough or fast enough to get the subject in the frame. I saw awhile back ago that Nikon came out with the 35mm 1.8 lens. I read the reviews and waited and waited. I finally decided to go for it. I finally got it yesterday and put it to the test. A lot of the reviews mentioned slow focus, and I did find that too. However, it really isn’t that slow. Focusing is smooth and quiet. Images look nice and sharp. In the studio setting it worked nicely too. Anyone who has been to my basement will tell you how tight it is. When I use my 50mm in there, even backed up to the wall I’m not able to get the entire subject in the frame. When using the 35mm, I was able to get the entire subject in the frame with room to spare.
Hobby Lobby and I are fastly becoming tight friends. LOL! I’ve purchased all my recent backdrops from there and love how I can always find a sale. Yesterday, my little one and I went there to find yet another backdrop. While I was there I think I found another item that I will be on the lookout for to add to my props. Tri-Fold Dressing screens. They have a very nice selection. We also bought a straw hat and flowers and made a cute little hat for a prop.
Anyway, I’ve chatted long enough, so on to the pictures.

I love the old time look of this

I met up with this awesome family at Fowler Park in Terre Haute. I think this was the first really pretty and much warmer day that we have seen in such a long time. It was the kind of day that made you want to stay outside ALL day long. The sun was so pretty too. I call the light we had that day yummy. It just made everything beautiful. Speaking of beautiful, this family fits that description. Their boys are so amazingly cute and full of life. “S” and “J” are celebrating their 3 year wedding anniversary tomorrow, so we did a post wedding (engagement like) pictures with them that day too. Oh how I love how the pictures came out. I love the how their love for each other is shown in these pictures.
Thank you so much for choosing me to take your families pictures. God Bless You!

Welcome to the world little “T”!!!!
“T” is the 7th child of this wonderful family from church. What a great family! I am so excited that they have me take photos of them. It’s so neat to see the change in my photography style too. I took “N”‘s newborn pictures almost 2 years ago. I look forward to taking more pictures of these wonderful children in the months and years to come.

I drove up a couple of Sundays ago to photograph these two cuties! It is such a joy to watch little ones grow into their personalities. I really do love when I get to meet up with this family and I am so thankful to have been asked to capture this time of their lives.
I hope you enjoy your pictures. =)

Love capturing children in their element. It brings me such joy!

Nickie and her daughter “M” met at Deming Park in Terre Haute. Our intention was to get some photos in the snow and also get some sledding shots. The bad thing about this snow was that while it made great snowballs, it was not the sledding kind of snow. Needless to say, they didn’t go very far down the hill. lol “M” was slightly peeved about that, but she recovered from her disappointment very quickly. I have to say that “M” was SUCH a trooper. We were all very wet as we laid in the snow, played in the snow, got snow in our shoes. When we were finished, we finished in Starbucks. Perfection! The link below is a video that was made in Animoto. I hope you don’t mind the new way the video’s are displayed. I’m not sure how to get it to go back to the way it was before.
