Meet Amanda!! She is a 2012 Senior at S.V. in Clinton. I met her when she was a Sophomore while her and my daughter were in choir together. Amanda is so sweet and pretty. She also has this amazingly cute little girl!

I shot this session with my good friend Jen Stow from Virginia (http://blog.jenrinaldiphotography.com/ ). Jen was visiting so we tag teamed for a few sessions while she was here. I always enjoy her visits and working with her on sessions. I won’t post her photos, but when she gets hers up, I’ll update this to include the link.

We met in Clinton for her session. Most people miss the great opportunities that their little cities give. You may have lived there all your life and think, “there isn’t anything cool in ___________”, but if you look close enough you’ll find great places for pictures. I’m still discovering little places in my town.

{Family Session} Hayne Family/Terre Haute Indiana Family Photographer

I met this family a couple of years ago when I photographed Mark and Madison’s wedding. Then, I had the pleasure of photographing Taylor’s Senior pictures. So, when I was contacted to shoot the entire family, I was thrilled. This family is the type of family that you would want to hang out with. They are so nice, caring and fun to be around. You really get a sense of what love in the family should be like.

2012 South Vermillion Senior Rep/Clinton Indiana

Meet Brittany, my 2012 Senior Rep for South Vermillion. I know she’s only in the second half of her Junior year, but I have some really cool ideas that I want to try out that I hadn’t been able to in the past. Brittany is up for anything, which I’m glad. I had received two prom dresses from a friend of mine and Wednesday when Britt was over I had this idea of photographing her in one of these dresses in the snow. I am SO glad she was down with it because I think these pictures are some of my favorite images. I love the feel of the images.

Britt wore her boots and thick leggings so half of her would be warm. lol Total pictures taken: 60, time it took: 30 minutes….not too bad huh?

Happy New Year/Terre Haute Indiana Children and Teen Photographer

Happy 2011 to all my friends and family!

It is my hope that you are all blessed greatly in the coming year. In 2010, I saw an increase in my Tiny Blessing Packages, which is pretty cool! Lots of new babies blessing the world! I got to take part in several weddings, ones on my own and some helping out Sam and Betsy as shooting as their second shooter. I also got to fly over to New Jersey in September to see my bestie, Jen, and her fiance to shoot second at Melissa and John’s wedding on the beach. While there I got to take Jen’s and Chris’s engagement session (although I didn’t know it would be that when we did it).

I’m not planning on changing anything that I’m doing for 2011. I feel that things are good as they are. I would like to see an increase in Seniors in 2011, but I trust God to bring the clients to me. I don’t stress if I don’t have very many of  a certain type of clients. As from the beginning, this business is in God’s hands. He’s really much better as this than me.

During the down time during the Holidays, I asked (more liked begged), my girls to show off some of their new clothes that they got for Christmas. Thanks to all my wonderful and amazing clients/friends for making 2010 such a wonderful and enjoyable year. Here is to increase in 2011!!!

Snowball Dance 2010/Terre Haute Indiana Photographer

I’m about to get a little sappy here, so just hold on.

Terre Haute holds the Snowball Dance for the 6-8  graders in the Terre Haute area every December. So, this is a bittersweet post for me and “K”s mom as well. I have photographed “K” getting ready for the Snowball dance since she was in 6th grade.

“K” is an 8th grader and will go on to High School in the fall. I have worked with her mom for years and every year she asks me to document the fun and friendships while they get ready for their Cinderella moment. I’m sad that there won’t be anymore dance pictures to take of her…at least not for a couple of years anyway. I’m sure I’ll take prom pics when that time comes.

“M” Family~Maternity Session/Effingham Illinois Maternity and Newborn Photographer

These nice folks came from Effingham Illinois to meet up with me for their first session. They’ve chosen to do the Tiny Blessing Session package that I offer. After meeting them and their little 2 year old….I am going to have a fun year!! Oh this little guy kept me, his mommy and his daddy laughing!

I can’t wait to meet the newest addition to this awesome family! Brady….”OH Toodles!!” Love that little guy!

Katie~T.H. South Senior/Terre Haute High School Senior Photographer

It seems like such a long time since I photographed Katie. I met up with her and her mom for some studio shots, then from there we headed to a favorite place for photographs, Deming Park. I am so glad that we chose to go towards the back of the park. I don’t usually venture that far back, I’m so glad that we did. Such another pretty spot of this park.

Katie was on Terre Haute South’s Volleyball team. I heard this team did very well. They were always on the news.

I love this family! I have worked with Brandie for over 10 years. I don’t consider her as a co-worker, she is a great friend. Readers of this blog may recognize the oldest one from the Snowball pictures I’ve done of her for the past  2 years. Brandie chose to do an urban session instead of buying their school pictures. After showing her the pictures, I know she loves what we got, even if I am making her picture poor. lol!

If I had studio space…the above picture would be in it….BIG. This image has to be my most favorite. Ok, I’ve got a lot of favorites in this session. Her mom is purchasing several canvas prints from this session.

While we were walking downtown Terre Haute, we went past “A Bit of Britain”. The owner was SO nice as to let us use some props and have some fun. What a super nice lady!!

There is something a little cool, a little creepy about the above images. ROFL!!
