{Easton|”BIRTHday”}Clinton Indiana Newborn Photographer

I’ve done a few hospital newborn shots for my Tiny Blessing families! I completely and totally love it! Last night however was the first time I went just hours after the baby was born. The entire family was there waiting to get their eyes and hands on that little guy. ๐Ÿ™‚

Jessica’s labor started around 11 p.m Monday night and she went in to the hospital at around 1 a.m. The family waited anxiously all day for Easton to arrive, but we all know how babies are. ๐Ÿ™‚ We got the last update that Jess was at 10cm so I knew that at any minute I would get the call to come…..and I waited….and waited. ha! After about 2 1/2 hours of pushing they made the decision to do a C-section. Well no wonder! Easton is a big boy!! He was born 9 lb 6 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. He has the most biggest hands I have seen on a newborn. I hope my little hats fit him. lol He is definitely going to play football.

I’ll be meeting up with the new family on Saturday, so until then, here is a slideshow of my visit.

{9 Month Session ~ “C”} Terre Haute Indiana Photographer

I’m often asked what my favorite sessions are and that is such a hard question to answer. I love different parts of certain sessions. Even though newborns take a lot of work and patience, I love how tiny they are. I love to capture the love of that the parents and siblings feel towards this new life. I could shoot newborn sessions every day. I also love shooting infants when they are able to sit up. They don’t crawl yet, their personalities are starting to emerge with big smiles and laughs. Then fast forward to the toddler stage, LOVE the energy and them running all over and just enjoying life! I love the older kids and their ability to take direction…I love boosting confidence in preteens. Senior sessions are awesome too. So many directions their lives can take…sigh. โค

Anyway, I said all that to say that I loved this session!! I have actually loved every session that I’ve had with this family. The little one….oooh he’s just so cute!! I also love the oldest one. He is ALL boy! I love his energy. His mom takes pictures….I’ll bet she gets a ton of awesome photographs of him in action. Love it!!

{Maternity} “M” Family

This is my good friend Darla and her family. Tomorrow is birth day for this family…or it will be if “K” cooperates. I just hope that he waits for my session to be done tomorrow night before he makes his big arrival. You see, Darla is letting me document the birth of their son and I so want to be there for his first breath. I can’t think of a better gift than to capture the minutes and moments of labor and delivery.

We took these images in 15 minutes. Indiana had experienced some really high temps. Not as hot as Texas or for as long as Texas…but still, it was hot. On this day it was 115 heat index, definitely not the atmosphere for a pregnant momma. Here are the images that we took.

Come back to check out birth day pics later. (If Darla lets me post some of those. lol )

Happy New Year/Terre Haute Indiana Children and Teen Photographer

Happy 2011 to all my friends and family!

It is my hope that you are all blessed greatly in the coming year. In 2010, I saw an increase in my Tiny Blessing Packages, which is pretty cool! Lots of new babies blessing the world! I got to take part in several weddings, ones on my own and some helping out Sam and Betsy as shooting as their second shooter. I also got to fly over to New Jersey in September to see my bestie, Jen, and her fiance to shoot second at Melissa and John’s wedding on the beach. While there I got to take Jen’s and Chris’s engagement session (although I didn’t know it would be that when we did it). ๐Ÿ˜›

I’m not planning on changing anything that I’m doing for 2011. I feel that things are good as they are. I would like to see an increase in Seniors in 2011, but I trust God to bring the clients to me. I don’t stress if I don’t have very many ofย  a certain type of clients. As from the beginning, this business is in God’s hands. He’s really much better as this than me. ๐Ÿ™‚

During the down time during the Holidays, I asked (more liked begged), my girls to show off some of their new clothes that they got for Christmas. From this, I made a collage that I bought from MCP Actions. These are print sizes so you make it, get it printed, then frame it! http://www.mcpactions.com/

Thanks to all my wonderful and amazing clients/friends for making 2010 such a wonderful and enjoyable year. Here is to increase in 2011!!!

Love,

Julie
