“X”~1 Year Session/Indiana Children Photographer

I am finally finished editing the “C” families session. It has been such a joy to get to know this family throughout the year and to be a witness to the growth of these two children. I really love doing the year long sessions for this very reason. They drove down to Terre Haute for this session and we met at Deming Park. The trees may not have had leaves on them, but the ground was covered and I think it made for pretty pictures.

Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your lives. I look forward to meeting up with you again.

We weren’t able to meet up in October, but X’s mommy still wanted a pic of him in his costume. Super cute, huh?

We tried very hard to get a great family photo…it took us a few snaps. The picture above was a good take. 🙂

Love this picture!!

Sneak Peek~Little X’s 1 year Pictures/Indiana Baby and Children Photographer

I can’t believe how fast the year went. I met this family in October 2008 for little “X’s” first Tiny Blessing Session. They were my very first clients to ask for it. I love these sessions because it gives me a chance to witness the families growth. “X” is walking very very well now and his big sister “A”….oh my goodness. She has developed some sassiness and it is SO adorable. She told her mom and I to “stay there, I’ll be right back.” Love it!

Yesterday they actually drove down to Terre Haute to meet with me. Trouble with scheduling postponed his 1 yr photo session a little bit but, they were willing to come here. We met up at Deming Park and had a wonderful time. The kids loved playing on the playground.

I can’t wait to see them again in a couple of weeks to take their Christmas pictures.

Some may remember the session with little “A” and his brother “A” found here: https://julielawsonphotography.wordpress.com/2009/09/15/newborn-sessionbaby-aindiana-newborn-photographer/

Melissa was wanting family portraits done for their Christmas cards and I happened to have an opening when she asked. I love seeing the little ones growing and developing little personalities.

Kayla~2010 Senior Session

I know it’s a little early for a 2010 Senior, but Kayla is my niece and very busy so I grab the chance when I can. Plus, when Jen came to town she hadn’t done a senior session yet so this gave Kayla more pictures and giving Jen and I a chance to work together doing what we love…taking beautiful pictures. It was great to Jen in action and to see her creative energy.

Kayla’s pictures took place in Boswell, Indiana on Thanksgiving, then when Jen arrived we took Kayla’s pictures at the old Clinton High School/Middle School. I have to tell you that this building is the perfect setting for an urban, edgy Senior shoot.

On to the urban edgy session at the H.S/Middle School

Jen Rinaldi in action

Like I posted the other day, my friend Jen Rinaldi Photography is here in Indiana until Wednesday. I can’t believe that we only have 2 full days left and then she goes back to New Jersey. I’m going to miss her so much, my girls will too. They both call her Jen-Jen. You’ll have to check out her blog for cool photographs that she did with my oldest and my niece, Brittany. Yesterday we went to the old High School/Middle School in my town with my oldest niece to do her Senior Pictures a little early. She graduates in 2010 and we thought that she would really love having two people photograph her. It was nice to get some shots of me in action as well as photographing Jen in action too.

I also did Jen’s portraits. I will be sharing those as soon as I get more edited. Tuesday we are going to Terre Haute to do an urban style session. That is going to be a good time. Tomorrow, we are hitting Mansfield and Bridgeton to see the Christmas displays.

Looking for milkweed

The greatest poem ever known
Is one all poets have outgrown:
The poetry, innate, untold,
Of being only four years old.
~Christopher Morley, To a Child

We have a field across from our house and this year they planted milo. Well, they finally came and harvested it. “E” and I had tried earlier in the year to look for milkweed and explore that area but the weeds and crops were so high that we struggled to get through it. On this day we were able to get right to the milkweed and we also found this huge leaf. “E” is becoming quite the little model lately. I asked her to put the leaf up to her face so we could show how big the leaf was compared to her face. Well, I got a lot of shots of her because she is starting to love posing.

More of Ashley H

I finished up Ashley’s Senior session and wanted to share some of my favorites from that day. She really is refreshing, sweet, and funny. I’m so glad that she found me.
