The “S” Family/Indianapolis Indiana Family Photographer

I met up with this family on probably one of the hottest days so far at Holliday Park in Indianapolis. Despite the heat, we got some really great shots of them. Little “H” was so interested in all the things to explore that day. I also loved that I was able to capture S and T by themselves too.

Thank you for choosing me to capture your family. You have a beautiful family.

Sneak Peek~”S” Family/Indianapolis Indiana Family Photographer

I met up with Sarah, Travis and their little guy yesterday at Holliday Park in Indianapolis. What a beautiful family! I hope to be able to photograph this family again in the future!

It was so hot yesterday, but “H” was such a trooper.

Isn’t he cute!!!

Sneak Peek~”B & E”/Terre Haute Indiana Photographer

My weekend was filled with young people and I loved it so much! On Sunday, I met up with these two lovely ladies for a best friend session. I don’t think I’ve walked so much in a long time. We started out on the campus of ISU and ended our day on the railroad tracks. They have a fun style that matches their personality. Here is your peek girls! I had a blast! ❤

Nikkor 35mm 1.8 lens and New backdrop/Indiana Photographer

I love my nifty fifty (50mm 1.4) lens. I love how sharp the photos comes out. I have to admit though, that sometimes I just can’t get back far enough or fast enough to get the subject in the frame. I saw awhile back ago that Nikon came out with the 35mm 1.8 lens. I read the reviews and waited and waited. I finally decided to go for it. I finally got it yesterday and put it to the test. A lot of the reviews mentioned slow focus, and I did find that too. However, it really isn’t that slow. Focusing is smooth and quiet. Images look nice and sharp. In the studio setting it worked nicely too. Anyone who has been to my basement will tell you how tight it is. When I use my 50mm in there, even backed up to the wall I’m not able to get the entire subject in the frame. When using the 35mm, I was able to get the entire subject in the frame with room to spare. 🙂

Hobby Lobby and I are fastly becoming tight friends. LOL!  I’ve purchased all my recent backdrops from there and love how I can always find a sale. Yesterday, my little one and I went there to find yet another backdrop. While I was there I think I found another item that I will be on the lookout for to add to my props. Tri-Fold Dressing screens. They have a very nice selection. We also bought a straw hat and flowers and made a cute little hat for a prop.

Anyway, I’ve chatted long enough, so on to the pictures.

I love the old time look of this

Sneak Peek~”A”+”X”/Indiana Children Photographer

This past Sunday I drove up to Indianapolis to meet up with these two cuties. Some may recognize these little ones from the sessions that we had from 2009. It is amazing to me how much children can change in just a few short months. Little “A” had her first haircut and now has bangs. Such a little lady!!! These kids melt my heart.

The “T” Family/Indiana Family Photographer

This family is super nice and their little boy is just a doll.

I was asked to wait until after Christmas to post any photos. I was so glad to be able to photograph them and I look forward to photographing them in the future. Thank you Garry and Ashley for asking to photograph your family. Little “D” is just so cute!

Misc Personal Photos/Zoo pics

I promise I won’t bombard you with all the zoo pics. It was my little one’s first time going to the zoo so of course we had to document that. I don’t know if my husband had ever been and I think it’s been a very very long time since I had last been. The day was dreary and it drizzled off and on all day. But it really did turn out nice.

Here is a new favorite of my girls from Friday night.

This next pic makes me laugh. He looks so curious about all the attention. The one thing I wonder about is just how big is their living space. Where they were at didn’t look very big so I’m sure they have another area for when the zoo is closed. I don’t know…just curious.
