Barbara/Indiana Portrait Photographer

Yesterday I drove up to Benton County to photograph my Aunt! She needed some headshots and so she asked me do to them for her. Of course I said yes. The day was overcast, and windy….wait…..it’s ALWAYS windy at my Grandma’s. I can’t think of a time that I’ve been there when it wasn’t insanely windy. LOL Anyway, Aunt Barbara and I chose what she should wear and we picked a nice spot. I chose to use my 50mm 1.4 and really love the sharpness of the images. My family has some crazy blue eyes, huh?

Aunt Barbie…you look fabulous!!

Jessica~2010 S.V.H.S. Senior/Indiana High School Senior Photographer

I finished with Jessica’s Pictures last night and had too many favorites to just highlight a few so I made a video in Animoto. Towards the end of the video you’ll see that I made her friend get into a couple of the shots. Her friend helped me out during the session holding my flash and umbrella.

Enjoy!!

Sneak Peek~Newborn Session/Indiana Newborn Photographer

I just love search engines! :)

This is how Susan found me. I was really excited to meet up with her, her husband Brad and their precious baby boy. He is such a good baby! Susan told me that he really doesn’t sleep a lot for a newborn, but he really seemed quite content. I don’t think that he liked the flash of the lights too much, but he is such a natural at only three weeks old. :)

Susan collects bears and wanted to make sure to incorporate them somehow. I took the first photograph at the very end of the session. Little “B” looks so cozy in the middle of all those fluffy bears and look at his hat…it has ears too. I love it!!

Enjoy the little peek. I will share more when I’m done.

Happy Halloween

Just wanted to say Happy Halloween to everyone and share a pic or two of my Rock Star from this evening. I think she really “gets” it this year. lol Everytime she came back from someone’s house she insisted on yelling through the window to my husband and I that she got candy!! Since we don’t go to people’s houses that we don’t know, we went to some of Bri’s friends houses.

On another note, you have to check out the session that my friend Jen of  Jen Rinaldi Photography did of Emmy and me. It is so great to have pictures of me and Emmy interacting together…I just don’t have that…at all.

Wedding Party~Ashley & Josh/Indiana Wedding Photographer

As I explained in my previous post, I’m breaking this up into little bite sized pieces for the Bride, Groom and their families to see. It’s taking me a little while to edit my photos of the day as well as the photos taken by my talented friend Jen. As you roll over each picture, Jen’s photos will have a JR that will show up. This way you’ll know which ones were taken by her. ;) You can find her work at: http://www.jenrinaldiphotography.com/

The “F” Family~Indiana Family Photographer

I finished with Kerry’s family session. We met at the ISU campus here in Terre Haute. What a great location for a session. So many different options. I simply enjoyed every minute of photographing this family. They drove down from the Indianapolis area. I was kind of concerned that we may not get to do this session because of all the wet weather that we’ve been having this month. Thankfully the weather turned out so nice!

These girls are just wonderful. Seriously, I could photograph them and be around them all day. There is just something about those two little ones that is just awesome.

I can’t tell you enough Mark and Kerry thank you!

Holiday Traditions

I’m not a writer, I hate this part of the business. lol I always know what I want to say, just not sure how I want to say it. :)

Anyway, with my busiest month just about finished, I’m looking for jobs that will keep me busy in the winter months. I’ve been toying with an idea and am looking for feedback and possible interest. During the Holiday’s, I’m sure that there are quite  a few families that have yearly traditions that they always do. Do you go out as a family to cut down your Christmas tree? Bake cookies, candies, make your own cards? I don’t know about you, but I like to take pictures of my kids when we make cookies for Christmas….the downside of it? I’m NEVER in them! A little frustrating isn’t it?

I’m still trying to figure out a price for the session and what to include in it, so if you are interested e-mail me to let me know @ julielawsonphotography@yahoo.com

Jen of Jen Rinaldi Photography/Indiana Portrait Photographer

I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since Jen’s been here. People ask me how we met considering she lives in NJ. I tell them that our love photography brought us together, but our kindred spirits sealed the friendship. I can tell her anything and she doesn’t judge. She really is my best friend, I couldn’t imagine my life without her. My only wish is that she lived closer. :)

On this day we went to my sisters backyard with my little one in tow. Jen is such a pretty lady, don’t ya think?

Brittany~2010 S.V.H.S./Indiana High School Senior Photographer

Here are some of my favorite images from our evening session. Brittany is very tall and I’m very short. =) We made it work though, huh?

Brittany’s fiance and his family allowed us to use their farm for her pictures. What a neat background and very big photo props. I’m not a farm girl so if I tried to tell you the machine she was sitting on…well, I’ll just embarress myself so I won’t try. :) There was a lot of climbing on it though to get some of these shots. It was fun.

Thank you Brittany for allowing me to photograph you. Good Luck in the future!
