I finished Mike and Jessica’s wedding pictures today and just can’t wait to show them off. On their wedding day, it was SO HOT!! The wedding was held outside on the beautiful campus of St. Mary’s. This is such a great place for ceremonies!
After the wedding, Mike, Jessica and I briefly walked around the area for their pictures. The light couldn’t have been more perfect.
Can’t forget their babies! Their dogs obviously couldn’t attend the festivities…
Â
I can’t wait to show you their first dance. Their song was from Adam Sandler…”Grow old with you”. I wasn’t able to find the right song for the video, so I chose another. I am including the lyrics to the song that they danced to though.
I wanna make you smile whenever you’re sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
Oh all I wanna do is grow old with you
I’ll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you
I’ll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold
Need you
Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control
So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you’ve had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you
First Dance.
Enjoy!

I’m a little bit of a slacker on posting their sneak peek. Sorry about that. 🙂
We have had our share of hot temps here lately! Their wedding was no exception and their wedding was outside on the campus at St. Mary’s of the Woods. Despite the high temps, Mike and Jessica never showed how hot it was, seriously! 🙂
Here is a peek, make sure to come back and look at all their pictures.

Weddings take a long time to edit, but I love it! I love re-visiting a special moment in a couples lives. Revisiting happy tears, the smiles, the laughter and the dancing! I am so glad that Megan and Culley chose me to capture this happy time in their lives.
Their wedding was held at The White Chapel on the campus of Rose Hulman. I simply love this church for the natural light. Their reception was held at Excalibur banquet hall in West Terre Haute.
Here are several photos to show off their fun day!
Thank you for looking!

This is her sister’s locket
You know what I love about this couple? They were so fun and up for anything. 🙂 The next pose was her idea!
It was at this point that the rain started. It was me, with no umbrella and my camera. I was freaking out just a smidge. My assistance was able to put her camera in her bag and run to the car and get my umbrella while I take pictures of the “get away”.

It was a very hot, but beautiful day Saturday when Megan and Culley got married. The ceremony was held at the White Chapel on the campus of Rose Hulman. This is such a beautiful place!
Megan and Culley chose to do a First Look. I really like when couples do this because it allows for us to get a lot of the group shots done before the ceremony. I’m so glad that we did because right when they walked out for their exit….it poured! lol
Enjoy your peek Megan and Culley. More to come soon.

I have known Sheena for a very long time. When I first met her she was 3 and in a long white nightgown. She was so cute! Now look at her… grown up and getting married. Â Her whole family is more like my family than friends. I am so honored to be able to not only photograph her and Adam’s E-session, but to be able to take their weddings pictures.
We decided to go to Coxville to do their E-session. There are two Covered Bridges there that we used as a backdrop for their session. We also got to use an area there to take some more pictures. I can’t wait to finish the session!
Here is a peek of their E-session.

I finished up editing Mike and Jessica’s E-session pictures this morning. We met in the evening at Fowler Park here in Terre Haute. I think this is probably the latest I’ve met a client. It was around 7:00 I think and wow was the light simply yummy!!! Early morning and late evening is the best time to have a session if you want the most wonderful soft light.
The only nit I have about outdoor sessions this time of year are the bugs! I’m not sure what the deal is in T.H. but the gnats are horrible! Yuck! lol I tried my best to clone out those pesky little things.
I met up with Mike and Jessica a few days later so we could include their “boys” in a few pictures. Aren’t they the cutest little dogs?
I hope you enjoy your pictures Mike and Jessica…see you both in August for your wedding. 🙂
~Julie~
Mike’s grandfather was a blacksmith and worked at Fowler Park. This building was dedicated in his memory. (did I get that right Jessica?)
Huge Colts Fans….uhmm who isn’t, right??
Introducing “the boys”. These little guys are so flipping cute!

From the moment I met them at our consultation, I knew that I would like these two. I spent a couple of hours with them for their E-session last night at Fowler Park and walked away knowing that I like these two. 🙂 This couple is so down to earth and I love that! They met in high school and were in band together. They would start dating a few years later though. There wedding is going to be so fun and there will be a couple of firsts for me at their wedding. I won’t spoil it, you all will just have to wait.
Mike and Jessica, I’m looking forward to August!

The one thing I learned while editing this part of the day is that you just can’t beat having a second photographer. While I was editing Jen’s shots of the ceremony I would be like, “wow!! great angle/shot”. I just loved the light that fell on the the ceremony, I just really felt like they glowed.

I was glad to have Jen shooting with me because I wanted to be able to get a good shot of this part of the ceremony. I love how she focused on the tree as they walked away.

I also loved that she got a shot of all of the guests at the ceremony. I won’t share that on here as there is a lot but I’m so glad that she did.
This next shot that Jen took is “money”. It is simply perfection!

I had the opportunity to meet Megan and Culley this evening to photograph their Engagement session. We met at Bridgeton and we had such wonderful weather. I really think we got some really great shots tonight, and I wanted to show them a small peek. I’ll be photographing their wedding in July 2010. I can’t wait..it’ll be fun.
Enjoy!
